Biography

ESCALADE

Troy Jackson was born in Queens NY in the same area as 50 cent, Run-DMC, Russell Simmons, Lamar Odom, Rafer Alston and many other hip hop, and sports legends. His impact on the streetball world would prove to be essentially as great as he has named one of the 50 greatest playground legends by Slam Magazine. Troy, better known an Escalade standing 6’10” tall, and weighing in at just under 400 pounds is about as light on his feet as his older brother, 17 year NBA veteran Mark Jackson. Escalade attended University of Louisville on a basketball scholarship. In addition playing in 3 NCAA tournaments, among Es’s accomplishments are being recognized as one of the 20 most popular athletes in Louisville history. Between that time, and his recent recruitment to the Ball Up Team, Escalade played professionally, in the Dominican Republic, China, with the Harlem Globetrotters, in the IBA League, and most notably 8 years with AND 1. Escalade now a Coach/Player with Ball Up Streetball is a legend in his own time.

“I think what makes me different from other street ballers is I actually live a celebrity lifestyle. I was born and raised in NYC and I know and have a relationship with everybody who is anybody in the city. Im at every event that goes on. The biggest DJ's on the radio here the biggest rappers I have a relationship with all of them. When NBA guys and rappers come to town they hit me to see where the hot spot is. I've had a great life God has been good. Because of my brother I grew up exposed to the finer things in life. I've been around money and celebs since I was 10 years old. I’m 6-10 400 pounds I was born to be larger than life. I may as well live that way”
